I enjoy almost every step in the garment construction process.
Yes, I said ALMOST every step.
The one step I do not enjoy is cutting out the fabric - especially when the pattern pieces are too big to fit on my cutting table and I have to work on the floor...
Let's face it - I am way too old to be crawling around on the floor... This kills my back! :(
How about you - do you enjoy every single step of sewing? If not, what is your least favorite thing to do?

I hate cutting too, though it's much better when I don't have two kittens "helping" me cut. I also don't like pinning because I almost always prick myself at least once.
I don't mind the cutting out, I actually like that part. What I don't like it marking the fabric with all the little dots, circles, notches, etc. You'd think I like this part, since I do a lot of detail work and like things to match up and be exact, but no. I find it rather boring and would rather get on with the sewing, but I do it anyway because I know it will make for a final product that looks like it is supposed to.
i wouldn't say i hate cutting, but i think the reason i don't like it much is that i have to do it on the dining room table. i like the actual cutting out part, it's having to set it up, cut, and put away all in one shot that i don't like.
i think my favorite part is pressing. i love to iron.
I'm not a sewer, but I suppose in any passion, there's a part that we might not like much. As a writer, in a parallel to sewing, editing (cutting) parts of a story can be difficult, knowing which lines (storyline) to follow, which pattern of characterization to fine tune. But the final product always comes out sharper afterwards.
And by the way, I give you the letter R for your alphabet soup!
Okay,
I had to think about this one. My biggest hurdle is actually getting to my sewing room. Once I'm there, it can be hard to get me to leave, but getting down there can be work!
I think for me, it's all the prepwork type stuff-- both cutting out and marking things. I'd rather just get to the machine. Although I don't mind cutting as much when I'm reconstructing clothes-- usually I'm sticking things on the dummy and chopping them up, so I guess it's kind of the dual fun of playing fashion designer draper and getting to destroy things. :D
Setting in sleeves! I hate that bit. :)
LOL I like thinking about it and planning it with fabric, but I don't actually like any part of sewing, I just like the intellectual challenge of it.
Sad, isn't it?
I'm with you; cutting is probably my least favorite. Especially cutting linings. The other thing I don't like is altering patterns, although I must do it. I think the reason I do not like these two things is because they take so long.
