Then I read a posting by Kathleen Fasenella that she never does it and the industry never does and that it stretches the seam out and doesn't keep it shape at all. I do do it for princess seams so that I can clip. Except, that if you use or trim your curved seam to 1/4" you don't need to clip it anyway.Nancy Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02235347323004026695noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-704085174347222254.post-22349074016462492222009-04-17T13:23:00.000-04:002009-04-17T13:23:00.000-04:00Generally I stay stitch and like others I've learn...Generally I stay stitch and like others I've learned to do it from disasters. I am amazed that pattern instructions, when they even include it, don't always do it first. Stay stitching immediately before you attach the facing does absolutely no good if you've already manhandled the neckline while you stitched and pressed the darts, tried the bodice on, etc.

LoisKAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-704085174347222254.post-51183908619448521592009-04-17T13:13:00.000-04:002009-04-17T13:13:00.000-04:00I too stay stich and lots of time I use stay tape....I too stay stich and lots of time I use stay tape.Teehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11671175207465598334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-704085174347222254.post-70006298796018228172009-04-17T11:16:00.000-04:002009-04-17T11:16:00.000-04:00I stay stitch always. Always if there is a stretch to help the fabric "stay" in place.

It's the first step to most all projects and one that throws a beginner sewer/sewest off. Sometimes you have to know terminology to help you sew and stay stitching is one of those terms that make people go "huh".Zephttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03682731203511053192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-704085174347222254.post-63466094986387188532009-04-17T09:21:00.000-04:002009-04-17T09:21:00.000-04:00I always stay-stitch.
