Someone's Getting Coal this Year...

Yes, those are indeed the hind legs of Oliver the kitten, as he climbs up into the tree on an ornament hunt... 'Nuff said...

Yep. I've got one like that, too.

;-) So did he succeed in hunting them all, from that beautifully decorated tree? That would be a bit sad...

Years ago, I found a small lump of coal, picked it up and saved it. That Christmas I wrapped it and gave it to my husband. I don't think he got the joke. Oh, well.

Are you sure he's not trying to hang an ornament? :)

Awww... he likes your tree!!! Last year we discovered our very bad cats peeing on our Christmas tree.

I have one like that too except he is black. The bird ornaments are his favorites.

Last year, we only put plastic ornaments on the tree and kept the kitten shut out of the part of the house that had access to the tree when we weren't home. This year, I thought, 'She's old enough now that it shouldn't be a big deal.' I put up most of my usual ornaments; we let her free to roam the house as usual.
The first morning we came downstairs and found three ornaments on the floor; one was a glass ball that came from one of the sets we bought the first year we were married. It was all the way across the room, broken into several pieces.

We have resumed closing the doors when no one's around to keep her honest. :-(
